Video: Basketball Star, Scholars and Patriots Honored by Mission Viejo Elks Club
Students who have achieved various accomplishments were honored Tuesday night by the Elk's Club in Mission Viejo.
During the regular Tuesday meeting of the Mission Viejo Elks Club, young people with a variety of accomplishments were honored.
Some students were singled out for their success on the basketball court, while others had written essays picked by a jury on the theme of American patriotism. Still more students were singled out for their high school academic and service accomplishments.
See the video above for interviews of some of the students. The students interviewed are Sarah Maissy of Trabuco Hills High, Allison Zundel of Larson Ishii of Capo Valley High, Connor Haskell of Ladera Ranch Middle School and Sidney Harvard of Lake Forest Elementary.
