The artists all focused on a 1960's theme! There's even a time lapse video captured of one artist'sRead More work at the ARTS ALIVE festival. He drew a sweet Jimi Hendrix! It's on youtube at: http://youtu.be/nCdO_BJxUZo

Boy, how Zen Buddhist is it that the rain washed away the art?

I agree with the other commenters that this story is not very timely. On the otherhand, I didn'tRead More see anything about it in the LA Times, and what did the museums themselves do to publicize this? That said, how come some Patch readers receive their copies hours before others? Jenny & Mark received their copies in time to post comments at 7 am; my copy didn't arrive until 12:08 pm, which is typical for me.

I agree.

I agree... Thursday or Friday would have been better to learn this info especially when we areRead More looking for things to do inside due to rain.

Pete, you are not meeting my needs. Does this bother you at all? I mean, this is about breakingRead More down the wall between Journalists and Local News Consumers, isn't it? You'd think I lived forty miles away.

Patience, Pan. Patience! Rome wasn't built in a day. And its history wasn't written for anotherRead More 2,000 years or so.

He was such a brave man knowing what he was going thru keeping it to himself. He didn't ask forRead More sympathy but, received attributes for what he give us....knowledge. He was such a likeable man and he lived his life loving it. Vaya Con Dios Amigo.

Though I am a 3rd generation native of southern California, much of what I know about my homestate IRead More learned from Huell Howser. He has been a regular "visitor" in our home and taken us on many wonderful chairside trips. Huell inspired us to see what is truly in our own backyard. He will be greatly missed - let's hope PSB will continue to show the reruns as a reminder of this wonderful man who became an icon of the Golden State. To his family and friends I pray for your peace and comfort in the memories of this dear man.

Really, Nincompoops? Now I thought that adults, informed mature people, were certainly above nameRead More calling. How about just changing the channel. That doesn't take very much effort or maturity.

I thought we were people first, religious, political, and ethnic backrounds aren't supposed toRead More matter. But I forgot we are dealing with the Hollywood Liberals, who are the most divisive, hypocritical, and ridiculous group of nincompoops out there.

'And "I've been through the desert on a horse with no name" has been variouslyRead More misconstrued as "a horse named Jose" ' I blame Richard Harris. 'And what does the song's pre-Prince reference to "purple rain" mean?' OK, that was a good one, Roy. (Prince and America sitting in a tr...) A nice interview. Enjoyed it very much, thanks.

I like the Port Theater, too. I recently tried the luxury theater in Laguna NiguelRead More -Cinépolis- it was awesome, you kick back in a luxury recliner and press a button to have a server bring you munchies or cocktails. "Do you think your song inspired Richard Harris in any way to make two more sequels than heRead More should have?" should get you started Penny. Please tell him that I am sorry for shouting "Enough of this Sandman, bring on Magic!" when they played in Ventura in 1988 or so.
