Mission Viejo Councilman Running for Supervisor

Councilman Frank Ury throws his hat into the ring.

A termed-out Mission Viejo councilman will look to extend his political career in the next election.

Councilman Frank Ury has announced his plans to run for the 5th District Orange County Board of Supervisors seat being vacated by Supervisor Pat Bates.

"Jobs and economic development are vital to our success in Orange County," Ury said, "and a key criteria for this office will be a proven record of creating programs that lead to jobs and work for our residents."

Ury will compete against Laguna Niguel Councilman Robert Ming and possibly Assemblywoman Diane Harkey, who told the Orange County Register she was considering running.
